Billing & Insurance

We believe that all women should have the opportunity to have exceptional care with a midwife. Golden Oak works hard to prevent cost from becoming a barrier to care.

• Part of the cost for Golden Oak’s care is out-of-pocket and part is paid by your insurance carrier 

• Golden Oak’s fee include all prenatal appointments and labor & delivery management in the hospital

• Included in your care is a postpartum home visit and two office visits with the midwives. The home visit occurs during your first week home, followed by two visits in the office 2 and 6 weeks after your birth

• Also included is unlimited attendance to Golden Oak’s Educational Series. This series is facilitated by members of the Bay Area birthing community 

• These talks are designed to provide you with a robust experience that help you prepare for birth and postpartum

• Payment plans are established during your first prenatal appointment

• Fees are tax-deductible

• The out-of-pocket cost to you is an investment in your birth. 

• Golden Oak takes care of all of the billing so you don’t have to.
