Breastfeeding education that begins during prenatal care.
Feeding and Newborn Care classes at Golden Oak
Every client is seen by a licensed lactation consultant while at Alta Bates
Coordination of a home visit by a Certified Lactation Nurse if needed

Breastfeeding promotes healthy brain development in infants
The nutritional profile of breast milk in terms of calories, vitamins, and minerals is simply the best!
We also understand that breastfeeding is a personal choice that may not be optimal or preferred for every family. We fully support what’s best for you and provide nonjudgmental support and information for those who choose to feed their babies via other options.
Golden Oak provides a range of Community Education offerings to support you as you navigate the 4th Trimester. Classes and events include postpartum support groups; feeding and newborn care classes; partner groups; and Thursday Community Chats that focus on a range topics including those specific to the postpartum period Check out the calender!
