GO GYN Survey

Golden Oak Midwives is exploring the possibility of providing on-site gynocological services to our clients. This is an aspect of GO’s long range vision of serving as a hub for personalized, holistic, high-quality women’s health care. At a minimum, services would include: birth control; fertility information and support; pap smears and other annual gyn care; highly personalized relationships with providers; as well as quick access to expert medical support and guidance if/when issues or concerns arise over the course of your year with us.

We are currently in the research/exploration phase with a couple of other wonderful medical providers to get a sense of viability and interest. At this stage we’re envisioning two “package” options below:

First Year Postpartum Package:

  • Telemedicine access to your GO GYN Primary Care Provider (PCP) as needed during pregnancy (for concerns beyond the scope of GO midwifery care)

  • 36 week in-depth consultation covering: breastfeeding, birth control, postpartum hormone/mood support, perineal health; your changing pp body, etc.

  • Annual (physical) exam—pap smear, birth control guidance/options; lab work as needed (separate cost)

  • 4 in-person doctor/provider visits over the course of the year if/when issues arise (ex: breastsfeeding issues, pp vaginal pain, analysis/diagnosis of pp mood issues, etc)

  • Referral/guidance to other practitioners as needed during your 1st year postpartum

  • Telemedicine access to your PCP as issues arise

  • Collaborative, seamless transfer of care between GO midwives and PCP/GYN providers to ensure highly personalized care for your first year postpartum

Regular Annual Package (for clients beyond their first year postpartum):

  • Annual (physical) exam—pap smear, birth control guidance/options, lab work as needed (separate cost)

  • 3 in-person doctor/provider visits over the course of the year (ex: fertility support, pregnancy preparation, ongoing breastsfeeding concerns, etc)

  • Referral/guidance to other practitioners as needed appropriate to GYN concerns as they arise

  • Quick, individualized telemedicine access to your PCP in between visits
