4th Trimester Postpartum Support Groups (Virtual)

8-week session: $250

This is a time for the postpartum GO community to come together to share experiences and learn from one another in a supportive group environment facilitated by skilled postpartum professionals. Facilitators will provide weekly topics but content will also be tailored to the interests and make-up of the group. The series is open to all parents (ie birthing person and partner). For the sake of group cohesion and avoiding repetition of material, we ask that folks not join the group after the 3rd session

Weekly Thursday Community Chats w/Perinatal Professionals (Virtual)

Complimentary for all GO clients!
Thursdays, 7-8:00pm (unless otherwise indicated on calendar)

Join Ellie, guest speakers, and fellow GO clients for a weekly presentation and discussion on a wide range of pregnancy, birth and postpartum topics. Topics include Preparing Your Body for Birth and Postpartum; Physiological Birth and Working with the Mind; “Optimal Fetal Positioning”; Acupuncture for Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum; Newborn Regulation; Pelvic Floor Empowerment; What to Expect at Alta Bates; Panel of Partners; and Transitioning to Parenthood to name only a few. The Chat series also includes monthly “Birth Stories” by GO clients! Check the GO calendar for more info on that week’s speaker and topic!

Infant Feeding and Newborn Care (virtual)

Complementary class included in your Golden Oak experience!

Kaitlin Murphy-Burger, RN and Lactation Consultant, will cover a wide range of topics designed to prepare you for a positive and realistic postpartum experience. Feeding topics include: dispelling myths; cultural/family influences that can negatively interfere with our feeding process; possible impact of birth on feeding & potential risk factors; expectations regarding milk supply-when, how muc; nipple and breast care; how to know your baby is feeding well; feeding patterns in the first weeks; learning to read feeding cues/signs of satisfaction. Kaitlin will also discuss pumps and if, when, and how to begin pumping. Newborn topics include: infants’ nine stages right after birth; skin to skin and hand expression; basic newborn needs; picking a pediatrician; when to call the doctor (but also take our first aid class!), and of course the all important topic of sleep!


Weekly Postpartum Power Hour (Virtual) (on hold for the summer!)

Every Tuesday, 12-1pm

Join Alexis Kihn-Harrington, RN and Lactation Consultant for a noon-hour boost in your postpartum day! Topics are participant-led depending on what’s going on with the group and where everybody’s at in their postpartum experience. Come get support, share, listen, be heard with folks who can relate! Open Mic Partner Support Group(Virtual)

Complimentary for all GO Clients!
Every Wednesday, 7:30-8:30pm
Participant-led open format support group for all partners at any stage of the parenting process—pregnancy, fresh with a newborn, or a bit more 'seasoned’! This time is JUST for you all! Do a little partner bonding, share ideas, get some perspective, hopefully do a bit laughing!


Infant First Aid/CPR (In-Person)

$100 per couple
2.5hr course

Brought to you by Home CPR and First Aid, a great group of seasoned first responders and instructors. This is the short survey course (non-certifying) intended to give you the basic information and confidence to identify and appropriately respond to an array of potential (and very unlikely) newborn/baby first aid scenarios. (This is not the 8-hr certification course)
